Everything about agroforestry

Agroforestry systems will be eligible for funding from 2023. The organic field days offer a good opportunity to learn more about this rediscovered form of agriculture. Agroforestry systems with around 1,200 trees have been planted on an area of almost twelve hectares on the Gladbacherhof farm since 2020. The scientists are now investigating the links between agroforestry and climate protection. Visitors can follow presentations and discussions on the topic in the Karfoffelhalle on June 28. State Secretary Dr. Ophelia Nick, for example, will take part in the panel discussion: “Agroforestry systems in Germany – Where are we heading?”. Guided tours of various agroforestry systems will take place on June 29 and 30. Visitors can then deepen their knowledge at poster presentations. Exhibitors on the topic of agroforestry will also be offering their services. In between, you can chill out in the Agroforestry Chillout Lounge.
