More than 60 exhibitors have already registered for the 2027 Organic Field Days at Bauckhof Amelinghausen six weeks after the trade fair portal went live. Until the end of May, interested parties can still register to present their variety on the demo plot area. A special area for vegetable growing has been newly placed there. For exhibitors without demo plots, the registration deadline is the end of December. On June 16 and 17, 2027, the Organic Field Days will take place for the first time in the agricultural state of Lower Saxony. The organizer is FiBL Projekte GmbH, this time the co-organizers are the Ministry of Agriculture of Lower Saxony, the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture and the Bauckhöfe with the Bauckmühle.
In addition to the important trade fair areas relating to plant cultivation and agricultural technology, the Organic Field Days present innovations and exhibitors from the entire organic farming system, including organic animal husbandry. In cooperation with the Association of Artisan Milk Processors (VHM), examples from the milk value chain will be on display, with guided tours of the Bauckhof dairy barn rounding off the offer. An illustration of the poultry value chain is planned, with the background of chicken fattening on the event farm. In cooperation with Ökologische Tierzucht gGmbH (ÖTZ), there will be a cattle breeding show for the first time.
Growth without space
At the beginning of May, the patron of the Organic Field Days, the German Federation of Organic Food Producers (BÖLW), presented a six percent increase in organic food sales in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the first quarter of 2025. The organic market is therefore a strong growth driver even in times of crisis. It is now important that agricultural production follows suit so that the growing demand for organic raw materials can be met. The Organic Field Days offer the ideal platform for discussing solution strategies and bringing crops, techniques and innovations to life for farmers. Practical examples and exchanges with advisors, exhibitors and colleagues on site provide impetus for farms to tackle major challenges such as climate resilience, marketing prospects and the development of their farm concept.
