Data processing through the use of our website with cookies

  • Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk and assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the body that sets the cookie (in this case us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer. They are used to make the website more user-friendly and effective overall and to enable the use of certain functions. When using this general data and information, we do not draw any conclusions about the person concerned. Rather, this information is required in order to deliver the content of our website correctly. This anonymously collected data and information is therefore evaluated by us both statistically and with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in our company in order to ultimately ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data processed by us. If personal data is also processed by individual cookies implemented by us, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
  • This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and function of which are explained below:
  1. – Transient cookies (see a)
  2. – Persistent cookies (see b)
  3. – Flash cookies (see c)
  4. a) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies in particular. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
  5. b) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. These cookies remain on your end device and enable us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognize your browser on your next visit. You can delete the cookies in your browser settings at any time.
  6. c) The Flash cookies used are not recorded by your browser, but by your Flash plug-in. HTML5 storage objects are also stored on your end device. These objects store the required data independently of the browser you are using and do not have an automatic expiration date. If you do not want Flash cookies to be processed, you must install an appropriate add-on, e.g. “Better Privacy” for Mozilla Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/) or the Adobe Flash Killer cookie for Google Chrome. You can prevent the use of HTML5 storage objects by setting your browser to private mode. We also recommend that you regularly delete your cookies and browser history manually.
  • You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. You can also set your browser so that you are informed when cookies are set and can decide individually whether to accept them. Each browser differs in the way it manages cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how you can change your cookie settings.

Other functions and offers on our website

  • In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you can use if you are interested. To do so, you must generally provide additional personal data that we use to provide the respective service and for which the aforementioned data processing principles apply.
  • In some cases, we use external service providers to process your data. These have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored.
  • We may also pass on your personal data to third parties if we work with service providers who offer you promotions, competitions or similar.
  • Furthermore, we will inform you in the respective offer about the transfer of your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Contact form or e-mail inquiry

  • If you send us inquiries via our contact form or via e-mail, your details will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. It is necessary to provide your name and an e-mail address. Providing a telephone number and other data is voluntary and serves to make it easier to contact you and to be able to address you personally. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request or for contacting you and the associated technical administration. The legal basis for the processing of the data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
  • Your data will be deleted after final processing of your request; this is the case if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

List of exhibitors

  • As an exhibitor, we offer you the opportunity to be listed in the exhibitor directory on our website. In order to be included in the directory, you must have completed and signed the registration documents and agreed to publication. The purpose of providing this data is to provide users of the address list with more detailed information about you or your company.

Newsletter

  • We offer you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter on our website. You will be asked for your consent when you order the newsletter. With this newsletter we inform you at regular intervals about current and interesting information on topics related to the Öko-Feldtage.
  • To receive our newsletter, you need a valid e-mail address. The provision of further, separately marked data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. We will check the e-mail address you have entered to ensure that you are actually the owner of the e-mail address provided or that the owner has authorized receipt of the newsletter. This is done by means of the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after you have registered, we will send you an e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within 72 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month.
  • In addition, we store the IP addresses you use and the times of registration and confirmation. After your confirmation, we store your e-mail address [and the other data provided] for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
  • The newsletter is sent via the mailing service provider Mailpoet. You can view the privacy policy of the mailing service provider here: https://www.mailpoet.com/privacy-notice/. The mailing service provider is used on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and an order processing contract pursuant to Art. 28 para. 3 sentence 1 GDPR The mailing service provider may use the data of the recipients in pseudonymous form, i.e. without assignment to a user, to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimize the dispatch and presentation of the newsletter or for statistical purposes. However, the mailing service provider does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass the data on to third parties.the newsletters contain a so-called “web beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from our server when the newsletter is opened or, if we use a mailing service provider, from its server. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval, is initially collected and used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times. We record when you read the newsletters, which links you click on and your personal interests. This data is linked to your actions on our website. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our intention nor, if used, that of the mailing service provider to observe individual users.

You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking on the separate link provided in each email or by informing us via another contact channel. The information will be stored for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously. Such tracking is also not possible if you have deactivated the display of images in your e-mail program by default. In this case, the newsletter will not be displayed in full and you may not be able to use all the functions. If you display the images manually, the above-mentioned tracking will take place.

    1. You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking on the separate link provided in each email or by informing us via another contact channel. The information will be stored for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously

You can declare your revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter e-mail, by e-mail to hella.hansen@fibl.orgoder by sending a message to the contact details given in the imprint.

Integration of YouTube videos

  • Our website includesvideos from the youtube.comeplatform, which are stored on http://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website.
  • To prevent data being transferred before the videos are played, the videos are prepared in extended data protection mode, i.e. no data about you as a user is transferred to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos will the data mentioned in (2) be transmitted. We have no further influence on this data transfer.
  • When you visit our website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the technically required data: name and URL of the retrieved file, date and time of retrieval, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval (HTTP response code), browser type and browser version, operating system, referrer URL (i.e. the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider are transmitted to YouTube’s servers in the USA. If there is also a registered Google account, this data is linked to the account. You have the right to object to the creation of user profiles, which you must assert against YouTube.
  • Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by YouTube can be found in the privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your rights and setting options to protect your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Social media plug-ins

  • Social media plugins from Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are used on our websites. You can recognize the plugins by the fact that they are marked with the corresponding logo. We ourselves do not collect any personal data via the social media plugins or through their use. To prevent data from being transferred to service providers in the USA without the user’s knowledge, we use the so-called Shariff solution. This solution ensures that no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the individual social plugins when you visit our website. Only when you click on one of the social plugins can data be transferred to the service provider and stored there.
  • It then receives the technically required data: name and URL of the retrieved file, date and time of retrieval, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval (HTTP response code), browser type and browser version, operating system, referrer URL (i.e. the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider. Your data may be transmitted to providers in the USA, whereby the IP address is anonymized.
  • We have no influence on the data collected and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of data collection, the purposes of processing or the storage periods. We also have no information on the deletion of the data collected by the plug-in provider.
  • The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as user profiles and uses these for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. If you wish to object to the creation of user profiles for these purposes, please contact the respective plug-in provider. As a website operator, we are interested in offering you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users so that we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
