“We are delighted to be hosting the Organic Field Days for the first time in 2023 and are demonstrating our commitment to more organic farming with many campaigns,” says Peter Hauk, Minister of Agriculture in Baden-Württemberg. The Ministry of Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection (MLR) will be presenting exciting topics on an 800 square meter exhibition area and in many other places throughout the event. The state’s activities in organic farming along the entire value chain and the ‘Organic from Baden-Württemberg’ action plan will be presented. These include news on organic agricultural variety trials, organic promotion, advisory services and sales promotion measures. Together with experts from research, education and consulting, the state is creating exciting special areas on the topics of potato cultivation, irrigation and agrivoltaics.

“The Organic Field Days are an important milestone in providing further impetus for more organic farming in Baden-Württemberg,” emphasized Minister Hauk, adding: “By 2030, we want 30 to 40 percent of agricultural land in the state to be organically farmed.”
