Starting signal for Öko-Feldtage 2027 in Lower Saxony

For the first time in northern Germany, for the first time on a Demeter farm: the 2027 Öko-Feldtage will take place on 16. and June 17, 2027 at the Bauckhof Amelinghausen in the district of Lüneburg. On September 15, a broad group of supporters from politics, associations and business came to the Bauckhof for the kick-off event to herald the official launch of the Öko-Feldtage with Lower Saxony’s Minister of Agriculture Miriam Staudte.

“I am very pleased that the Öko-Feldtage 2027 will take place on such a diverse farm as Bauckhof Amelinghausen,” explained Minister Staudte at the event. At 255 hectares, Amelinghausen is the largest farm of all three Bauck farms with its own organic farm store, a farm cheese dairy and a diverse livestock farm with dairy cows, pigs and fattening poultry. “The close link between arable farming and livestock farming is a characteristic of many organic farms and will be a focal point at the Öko-Feldtage in two years’ time,” explained Prof. Dr. Jürgen Heß, Chairman of the Board of FiBL Germany.

“I am aware of the great challenge of being able to play a part in bringing this trade fair to northern Germany as the venue for the Öko-Feldtage 2027. But with the Bauck Group and all the partners who are also here today, we will organize an exciting trade fair for everyone who is interested in sustainable agriculture,” says Ralf Weber, farm manager of Bauckhof Amelinghausen.

The Öko-Feldtage take place every two years and are organized by FiBL Projekte GmbH. Co-organizers of the Öko-Feldtage 2027 are the Lower Saxony Ministry of Agriculture, the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture, Bauckhöfe and Bauckmühle. The patron is the German Federation of Organic Food Producers (BÖLW).
