On June 18 and 19, 2025, the \u00d6ko-Feldtage will take place for the first time in Central Germany at the Canitz water estate near Leipzig. Covering an area of around 30 hectares, the outdoor trade fair will showcase everything that makes up sustainable agriculture. The main theme of water management runs as a blue ribbon through all the events on offer. Exhibition Management can now register directly on the website www.oeko-feldtage.de.<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n

At the \u00d6ko-Feldtage, exhibitors can showcase their wide range of seed, farm inputs, barn equipment, all types of agricultural machinery, agri-PV systems and irrigation technology. Products must be approved in accordance with the EU Organic Farming Regulation, if relevant in terms of content. The exhibition areas are limited, the stand areas with demonstration plots and the spaces in the hall are usually booked up early. The registration deadline for outdoor areas with demonstration plots is June 30, 2024<\/strong>, for outdoor areas without demonstration plots and in the hall, for machine demonstrations and innovation examples is December 31, 2024<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Diverse offer<\/h2>\n

Expert forums on crop cultivation and animal husbandry, politics and the market, as well as workshops and guided tours, complement the extensive range of exhibition areas. The highly popular machine demonstrations will be further expanded at the \u00d6ko-Feldtage 2025 and will showcase new machines from the fields of tillage, forage harvesting, hoeing and harrowing technology. There will also be a special area on the topic of autonomous agricultural technology.
\nThe main topic of water will highlight all aspects of water management on farms – from the cultivation of drought-resistant varieties to suitable crop rotations, soil cultivation, organic fertilizers, irrigation techniques, water retention in the field and approaches such as climate landscapes. There is also a dedicated water forum and guided tours of drinking water extraction in the Canitz water conservation area. <\/p>\n

Background<\/h2>\n

The nationwide \u00d6ko-Feldtage<\/strong> are a two-day meeting place for all farmers who want to find out about new methods for environmentally friendly agriculture. The event offers players from the entire sector an ideal platform to discuss current topics with farmers and representatives from politics and business. The innovation show shows where organic farming stands and where it is heading.
\nThe program of the \u00d6ko-Feldtage offers a mix of practice and research in organic crop production and organic animal husbandry. Visitors can watch demonstrations of machines in practical use. Innovation examples show prototypes and new developments.
\nA cultural program and culinary, regional delicacies in organic quality round off the program. The organizer of the \u00d6ko-Feldtage is FiBL Projekte GmbH.<\/p>\n

The Wassergut Canitz GmbH<\/strong><\/a> has been an organic farm since 1992 and works according to the guidelines of the Bioland Association. The GmbH was founded in 1994 as a subsidiary of Leipziger Wasserwerke. The company’s most important goal is to protect the drinking water resources in the catchment area of the waterworks in Canitz, Thallwitz and Naunhof. The focus is on environmental protection, soil fertility and groundwater recharge. Organic plant and animal products are produced on a total area of 800 hectares. This is done without the addition of synthetic chemical fertilizers. This ensures that no impurities get into the drinking water.<\/p>\n

The Saxon State Ministry for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture (SMEKUL) is funding the \u00d6ko-Feldtage 2025.
